The baldric is one of the most comfortable ways to carry a sword and has been used for thousands of years.
This is a baldric which looks great on pirates as well as cavaliers for 500 or 600 years. The simple 1/4" domed studs line the edges and a four buckle frog will carry a rapier or a boarding cutlass. The simple round 2 3/4" buckle is a nice touch that will not overshadow other details of your costume.
