to withstand throwing, with forged heads and hardened edges.

The Short Bearded Axe provided a concentration of power
behind a relatively short cutting edge, ideal for punching
through any armor of the period in close combat.
Please note that the head of most throwing axes is loose, allowing the purchaser
to customize the position of the axe head to their liking.
