Dungeon Ball and Chain Leg Shackles

These very "authentic" and operational Dungeon Ball and Chains were modeled from those used in the Clink Prison of London, England. The "Clink" used shackles for confinement and as a deterrent to escape. The ring keeps the ball from rolling, causing a prisoner to drag instead of roll the ball, slowing their escape. This is a heavy handmade replica quite accurate in style and functionality to the original. A blackened heavy iron ball is encased by a solid ring and bars which attaches to a large ring and chain. This chain is securely attached to a hinged iron leg shackle that can be shut and secured by a lock. This is a must for any serious collector of dungeon and confinement pieces from the middle ages through the Renaissance. Weighs over 16 pound and extends over 40". Functional!
