A full tang functional hand made work of art. Part of the braided leather collection, this brown Ritter Steel® fully functional Odachi Sword! The Odachi, sometimes incorrectly referred to as a nodachi sword or no-dachi features a traditional hand braided leather wrap a blackened steel tsuba and pommel along with beautiful red tassels . The sharp function high carbon steel blade is mounted with a traditional copper habaki. The scabbard on this odachi sword is hand made from wood, and covered in leather as shown.
The RitterSteel® Odachi Giant Samurai swords high carbon steel blade is hand pounded and forged over hot coals, using many of the original techniques passed down through the generations of ancient sword smiths. Each tsuba and end cap is individually hand cast in blackened steel for functionality and ease of upkeep. A traditional solid copper habaki is hand fitted to each 40" long, 1-3/8" wide fully functional blade which attests to its authenticity. The overall length of the odachi samurai sword is an incredible 67" long! The diameter of the steel tsuba is 4".
