The Shirasaya style sword was prevalent during the
1800's, but its origins date much further back. They were often
called cane swords as they were sleek and simple in appearance
and were frequently chosen by Samurai because they were easy to
conceal. These beautiful swords are hand-crafted as the originals
with blades hand forged of high carbon steel. Smooth polished rosewood
is used to form the blade housing which compliments the strength
building solid brass end caps. Twine accents add to its traditional
beauty. To match this type of quality elsewhere would be near impossible!
