Although the Third Crusade could be considered a draw, it did
win back the right of the pilgrims to visit Jerusalem. The key
to this success was the fall of Acre, when Richard the Lionheart
pressed the attack so strongly that the garrison surrendered.
This sword is named in honor of that battle. Based on a sword
from a funeral brass of a knight from the period, this simple
design is an excellent example of the Knightly Cruciform sword
that evolved from the Viking sword. The blade was made with very
little taper in order to give more force to the blow. Pommel is
brass with a cross in nickel silver attached. Crossguard is brass.
Grip is wood covered with leather. Comes with scabbard.
