This is a reproduction of the Cross located at the entrance to the Iona Abby. It was carved sometime in the 8th century by the Free Masons of St. Columba. St Martin’s Cross is one of the last examples of it’s kind. During the Columba Monastic order hundreds of similar crosses were erected. All of them were torn down during the reformation.
